NUCIA's mission is to raise awareness and provide information assurance education, build partnerships with surrounding business and government entities and demonstrate civic responsibility through community outreach programs.

Many NUCIA students and faculty are members of Infragard, and Nebraska Cert; two organizations actively involved in solving 'real world' information assurance related problems.

NUCIA also involves itself in community outreach programs that educate adults and introduce children to technology.
