Undergraduate Admissions Criteria for selection:
  1. Student must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Student must have already been accepted into an undergraduate program of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
  3. Student should have at least 3.0 GPA in the first two years of study at the University of Nebraska at Omaha or another institute of higher education.
  4. Student should be enrolled in the final two years of bachelors or masters degree program at UNO – eligible enrollment includes a baccalaureate in Information Assurance, Computer Science or Management Information Systems (Computer Science and Management Information Majors must have an Information Assurance Concentration).
  5. Student must be able to meet selection criteria for federal employment (final job placement may require security clearances, so each scholarship recipient might be required to undergo the background investigation required to obtain such clearances).
Graduate Admissions Criteria for selection:
  1. Student must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Applicant must be a full-time student within two years of graduation at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Master's degree in either Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  3. Student must meet selection criteria for federal employment (final job placement may require security clearances, so each scholarship recipient might be required to undergo the background investigation required to obtain such clearances).
  4. During the summer between the two years of the program each student is required to hold an internship position at a participating federal agency.
  5. Upon graduation each student will be required to work one year for every year of scholarship at a qualified federal agency.
